Education Scotland update regarding COVID-19
With the ever-changing situation with COVID-19, it is a challenging time for everyone but we at Education Scotland are doing our very best to ensure teachers, local authorities and children are supported during this difficult time.
Our staff are working hard to support practitioners in helping them to ensure learning continues while schools are closed. Our National Improvement Hub now has a range of support to help practitioners develop online opportunities for learning remotely.
We are working closely with local authorities and are supporting them in a variety of ways which suit local needs. We will continue to work with them and other national bodies over the coming weeks to look at a range of innovations to support the learning of our children and young people at this time.
One of these approaches is to use Glow, Scotland's nationally available digital learning platform. This is already being used to great effect in schools and local authorities in Scotland. Glow can help learning to continue outside of the classroom by enabling learners and teachers to access all the tools and features at any time, on any device with an internet connection. Further information is available on Glow Connect.
We are also working closely to support the Scottish Government to ensure advice and support for learning continues during this challenging period.
Please check our website to keep up to date with news in our areas of professional learning and development. The Scottish Government will also be posting relevant updates on their website.
