Dr Kaitlyn Regehr is an Associate Professor of Digital Humanities University College London. Her session outlines the process in which young people are indoctrinated into the online misogynistic community named Incel.

Explored here, will be the rich toxic cultural tapestry the internet echo-chamber and the celebration of Incel mass murderers (Incelebrities), which create a continuous loop that can transform digital hate speech into offline violence. The session further argues that these patterns of indoctrination can be intercepted for the purposes of both personal and public safety through education innovations and initiatives.

Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP) practitioners will have the opportunity to join an additional twilight session exploring what they have learned and implications for their practice.
