Welcome back

This week, schools across the country are welcoming children and young people back into the classroom to commence a new academic year.

We know it’s been an incredibly difficult year and the commitment, flexibility and passion shown by educators in Scotland has been nothing short of inspirational.

It may take some time for things to feel more normal and there will be an additional ask of all of us to help get us there.

To help to support you in your everyday work, we’ll highlight some of the Education Scotland guidance and resources available, which may be particularly useful over the coming weeks. We’ll focus on highlighting resources which support health and wellbeing, literacy and numeracy, inclusion and equalities, the national e-learning offer, and professional learning and leadership.

For more information, keep an eye on our website and check out our social media channels, Twitter and Facebook. You can also sign up for our fortnightly e-bulletin, Scotland Learns, for a round-up of all the latest news, information and links straight to your inbox.

Education Scotland’s Chief Executive, Gayle Gorman, explains more in this short video.
