The national Digital Learning and Teaching Strategy for Scotland (gov.scot) was published in 2016 after extensive consultation with learners, parents/carers and practitioners. Education Scotland is fully committed to the aims of the strategy, ensuring that the experience of education equips learners to participate as active citizens in a 21st century digital society.

The National eLearning Offer

The response to the pandemic has shown how digital technologies are central to the experience of learning and teaching. The National eLearning Offer enhanced online learning and teaching in this period, through the provision of live, recorded and supported resources.

Education Scotland is committed to ensuring that learners have a right to an education that reflects the realities of life in the 21st century, where digital is prominent in all aspects of their lived experience.
