The Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) skills team hosted its fifth Young Persons' Conversation Day on Friday, 19 February 2016 in Elgin Town Hall. The focus of this event was the Senior Phase.
Schools selected a mixture of S3 to S6 students to attend the Conversation Day. They were encouraged to bring a diverse range of students and also parents and employers.
Three conversations were held during the day. These included: Aspirations, Profiling and Senior Phase. In addition, the adults present held a separate workshop conducting a Senior Phase benchmarking exercise.
This resource includes copies of the materials used that day, as well as a summary report of the event including feedback from evaluations.
All stakeholders engaged in supporting young people in the Senior Phase.
The report and resources can be used by stakeholders in their planning, for staff professional development, and directly with learners for their employability education.
