Scotland's Scientists: A Gaelic Language Resource

What is this?

​This resource contains nine biographies of Scottish Scientists taken from the Scottish Science Hall of Fame. The biographies are available in Gaelic.

Who is this for?

​This resource will be of particular interest to practitioners and learners at second and third level GME and for practitioners of Gaelic (Learners) in the senior phase. Also for Science literacy and Gàidhlig.

How to use this exemplar to improve practice

This downloadable resource may be used to develop children and young people’s literacy skills through the medium of Gaelic including learning specialist terminology. It may be used in different contexts as it links strongly to other curricular areas such as, sciences, social studies and expressive arts. This resource creates opportunities for children and young people to engage with another type of genre in Gaelic.
