What is this?

​These materials were created by Aberdeenshire primary headteachers and early years staff working in partnership with Education Scotland. They are designed to support a consistent understanding of progression across all schools in the local authority.

​Practitioners and leaders in primary schools and early learning and childcare settings.

​How to use this Learning and assessment resource to improve practice?

Use the professional learning materials to understand the background and context to the learning pathways.

The learning pathways are an example of how one local authority has approached developing a shared understanding of progression. They reflect Aberdeenshire's local context and are not intended to be definitive or prescriptive.
