How to use this exemplar

The information presented could be used in a variety of ways to support an understanding of health and wellbeing and its vital role in the education and development of children and young people. For example:

  • watch videos, find presentations, read relevant resources to update personal career-long professional learning
  • stimulus for discussion within an ELC, school, department or faculty to support the development of health and wellbeing within an establishment
  • share with parents to develop their understanding of health and wellbeing

Reflective questions:

  • Select one of the films and identify/select its key themes/findings. How could you use this knowledge to impact positively on your practice?
  • Identify a workshop which interests you. Which aspects of this workshop resource could help you to better meet the health and wellbeing needs of your learners?
  • How could these presentations help you to improve partnership working in your establishment?

What was done and why

The conference was organised to share the good practice evident across Scotland, in relation to health and wellbeing. International speakers were invited to enable delegates – both local and international – to gain a wider perspective of how health and wellbeing is tackled outwith Scotland.
