At Glenrothes High School in Fife Council, HM Inspectors highlighted the work in equity and cost of the school day (poverty proofing).
HM Inspectors highlighted the school’s approaches to reducing the cost of the school day (poverty-proofing) when they visited Glenrothes High School. Young people benefit from a culture of support and outstanding approaches to equity. These, along with the work undertaken to reduce the cost of the school day ensure learners and their families receive highly effective support.
A sketchnote has been developed about this effective practice and commitment to equity and the headteacher has provided a blog to illustrate the school’s journey. The recovery update sets the school’s work in the current context.
