13 June 2017

An inspirational teacher who runs an award-winning space club was among the winners at this year’s Scottish Education Awards.

The awards recognise the achievements of people who dedicate their lives to children and young people and showcase the valuable work and innovation in Scottish education.

The winners were announced at the annual awards ceremony in Glasgow on Tuesday 7 June.

Education Scotland are responsible for judging all award nominations.  As lead sponsors of the awards we work in partnership with the Daily Record to host the awards.

Bill Maxwell, Chief Executive of Education Scotland said: 'This has been another fantastic occasion, celebrating the very best in Scottish education.  It was great to meet the finalists and hear about the inspirational work that is taking place across Scottish education.  I’m delighted that we are involved in the Scottish Education Awards and I would like to congratulate all finalists and winners.'
