Updates to SCEL online

‚ÄčAs part of the new enhanced role and remit that was announced for Education Scotland in June 2017, the Scottish College for Educational Leadership (SCEL) merged with Education Scotland.

Since the merger in April 2018, Education Scotland has increased the number of professional learning and leadership programmes and learning opportunities available while continuing to ensure participants have access to the same service.

Now fully part of Education Scotland, the professional learning and leadership team has grown in numbers and is making some changes to the SCEL websites and social media accounts to ensure participants are aware of the changes that took place last year.

As part of these updates, the SCEL website will close down and redirect visitors to the existing Framework website for information on learning programmes and resources, while the Education Scotland website will be updated with general information on professional learning and leadership. The social media accounts will also have a new look with the SCEL logo being replaced by the Education Scotland logo.

The changes are due to take place at the end of September 2019. However, the professional learning and leadership team is keen to highlight that all programme participants will continue to have access to the same level of service and support as they have experienced over the past year.

Participants will also continue to have access to a dedicated Lead Specialist offering support and guidance throughout their learning experience.
