Upgrades across Education Scotland websites now live

We are pleased to announce that from today (15th January 2018) a number of updates have been implemented across our web estate.

As we continue to develop and make on-going improvements to our websites, we have made design and functionality changes to the Education Scotland, National Improvement Hub, Parentzone Scotland and National Qualifications websites, including adding a more powerful search function. In addition to searching each individual site, users can run a search which will pull results from across all four sites.

There have been changes to the National Improvement Hub in relation to design, interface and functionality. The Scottish version of the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) Teaching and Learning Toolkit has been integrated into the Hub. The EEF is an independent charity which provides teachers and senior leaders with relevant research. By including the Scottish version of the toolkit within the National Improvement Hub, users will have access to a wider range of resources aimed at tackling the attainment gap.

Due to these changes users will find that links to pages on the National Improvement Hub may have changed. If you find your saved links no longer work correctly you will be able to find these pages again by using the search facility. If you have any difficulties or unexpected results from using the site or the search functionality please inform us via the General Enquiries Mailbox (

Links to each of the sites are available below:
