Foundation, Modern or Graduate Apprenticeships for Deaf Young People aged 16-29
Foundation, Modern and Graduate Apprenticeships incorporate learning with working to enable young people to get the skills they need to succeed in their chosen career. Applications for modern apprenticeships are open to Deaf young people from the age of 16-29.
During the 2021 Scottish Apprenticeship week, Skills Development Scotland (SDS) and Deaf Roots and Pride (DRP) are holding two live streams. These will be on Monday 1st March and Wednesday 3rd March at 2:00-3:00 pm. Deaf role models will be talking about their experiences of apprenticeships and training providers. Skills Development Scotland staff will be sharing practical information on how to apply and what is involved. You can join the live streams on the British Deaf Association Scotland’s Facebook page and/or Skills Development Scotland's website to find out more and ask any questions you might have. You do not need to book for these sessions. If you are unable to make either of these dates/times, the live streams will be recorded and available to watch on the British Deaf Association’s Facebook page afterwards.
