Scottish Learning Festival

The Scottish Learning Festival 2018 takes place on Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 September in the SEC, Glasgow.

The theme for SLF 2018 is Collaborating for Improvement with a particular focus on;

  • effective collaborations that ensure young people are having a greater say in decisions that affect their lives
  • strong STEM education and training that inspires learners and connects with the labour market

We're delighted to have the following keynote speakers at SLF this year;

John Swinney MSP, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills

Dr Jo Boaler, Professor of Mathematics Education, Stanford University

Louise Macdonald OBE, Chief Executive, Young Scot

Shirley-Anne Somerville MSP, Minister for Further Education, Higher Education and Science

Prof Louise Archer, Karl Mannheim Professor of Sociology of Education, University College London

Dr Jamie Gallagher, award-winning scientist and science communicator

SLF is free for everyone to attend, to book your place browse the conference programme, note the sessions you would like to attend and register online. Remember to book early to guarantee a place at the sessions of your choice.
