Our Corporate Plan in a new context 2020 to 2021 (PDF 429 KB) is an update to our Corporate Plan for 2019 to 2022 as a result of COVID-19. This plan does not replace the Corporate Plan for 2019 to 2022.

Education Scotland's Corporate Plan 2019 to 2022 (PDF 788 KB) describes five new strategic priorities. These are in line with the National Improvement Framework (NIF) for education:

  • a strong focus on learning, teaching and leadership
  • national collaborative professional learning networks
  • getting it right for every child
  • best use of high quality evidence
  • effective partnerships

These strategic priorities shape Education Scotland's approach to corporate performance reporting and will inform the development of new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Education Scotland has published a new Gaelic Language Plan for 2022 to 2027. It seeks to support the increase of children and young people learning, speaking and using Gaelic across the country.

Digital Strategy

The Education Scotland Digital Strategy (PDF 922 KB) describes Education Scotland's strategic approach to:

  • establish the widespread use of digital services by the organisation
  • develop and maintain external facing digital services
  • maximise the use of data to improve Scottish education

The aim of this strategy is to embed digital into Education Scotland's services. We aim to become an organisation in which digital is a cornerstone of everyday functions.
