Why 'make it happen'?

This is where you really transform your audience and the participants. It is the culmination of all the work and investment in the project and the realisation of personal responses. This is where you get to apply the skills you have learned during the process and really make an impact.

What are the intended outcomes?

  • Be ready.
  • Embrace the Transform.
  • Capture the moment.

How to 'make it happen'

Take what you need from this list of possible approaches to this task.

Activities

Create a Rehearsal Schedule

This can include key dates, times for rehearsing and important rehearsals such as the technical, dress and final rehearsal.

Test Your Performance

It is professional and sensible to offer a preview of your performance. You can decide who your audience is for this, but it may include people who have been invested in the Transform, with areas of expertise relating to your Transform.

Hint/Tip: Why not offer them a free ticket in exchange for their feedback. You will gain the confidence of all those involved in the production and performance by having a live performance. You may spot some problems that you have just enough time to address.

Create a Stir

Have you invited critics to comment and document the event? They may want to set up interviews with some of the Transform Team.

Relish the Moment

Enjoy the performance and delight in the result of all that hard work. This may be a very unique experience so recognise your achievements and strengths since taking on the Transform.

Be Sure Not To Miss It

Capture the event by filming it. You may have been filming and documenting the whole process (another useful creative task for a team) or you may want a record of the final event.  Many people may want to see this so think of ways you could give them access to it.

Exit

Think of how you want the audience to leave your performance. Are there ways you could capture their reaction?

Checklist
  • Did you enjoy that?
