Sketchnotes provide a visual description of the practice and approaches which have been identified as practice which HM Inspectors have observed during scrutiny activities and is worth sharing more widely.

At Kinross Primary School implementation of improvement and change is well managed, so that children benefit from the consistency of practice and standards throughout the School and Nursery.

Questions for discussion

Reflecting on your own setting, consider the following:

  • What strategies do we use to guide the strategic direction and pace of change? Is this carefully planned to ensure sufficient time for embedding improvements?
  • How do we create conditions for staff to learn and collaborate with and from others through critical enquiry? Are we maximising all opportunities available to support peer collaborative learning?
  • How effective are our approaches to planning for continuous improvement?
  • How do we ensure a continued focus on improvements in outcomes for learners?
