New Curriculum Improvement Cycle mini podcast series
Education Scotland is leading a systematic review of the Scottish curriculum called the Curriculum Improvement Cycle, to ensure it remains up to date and relevant for children and young people.
This week we launch our core competency campaign which will run until the end of the academic year. For the next several weeks you can expect to see articles from practitioners and experts in their field and a weekly mini Education Scotland podcast series hosted by Ollie Bray, Strategic Director, as he speaks to staff about the core competencies and the story so far.
The first episode of the new mini podcast series, focusing on the cross-curricular themes within the context of the Curriculum Improvement Cycle, is now available to listen to. In this 20 minute episode, Ollie is joined by Education Officers for Numeracy and Mathematics at Education Scotland Nanette Brotherwood and Jaclyn Andrews. They discuss the work around Financial Literacy so far, emerging themes, next steps and what they hope this will mean for Scotland’s children and young people.
