P7 teachers – will your learners be joining the ‘We’re Aff Tae The Big School’ online transition event on Wednesday 21 June 2023?

The event aims to bring together every P7 across Scotland to celebrate, inspire, laugh and learn as they prepare to embark on their monumental move to the big school.

This free 90-minute high-energy virtual session from Tree of Knowledge and e-Sgoil is available as part of the National e-Learning Offer. The session starts at 1.15pm and will be broadcast live on YouTube.

Last year, over 40,000 pupils from 1300 schools signed up in advance of the day, covering every local authority area.

The event aims to provide your P7’s with lots of confidence, inspiration and motivation and includes:

• The biggest virtual P7 quiz ever!
• Inspirational keynotes from the Tree of Knowledge team.
• "Good luck" messages from some familiar celebrity faces.
• Myth Busters – S1’s will answer your burning questions about the big school.
• Words of wisdom from lots of special guests.

This year to further support young people through transition, Tree of Knowledge has launched a free 30-minute interactive transition lesson in partnership with e-Sgoil. This aims to help young people to reflect on their experience at primary school and look ahead to secondary school. Find out more on Treehouse, the mental health wellbeing platform created by Tree of Knowledge. At the end of the transition lesson, each class is invited to take part in ‘The Great P7 Write-Off’ where they are challenged to create a 77-word piece that describes how it feels to be making this transition.
