​Connect is a Scottish charity dedicated to encouraging and shaping high quality parental engagement in their children’s learning and the life of the school.

Connect is a membership organisation working with parents, families, parent groups, educators and others in Scottish education and beyond to make family engagement as good as it can be. Drawing on extensive experience, Connect shares what works so that effective partnerships and strong relationships between parents, families, parent groups, schools, early learning and childcare and the wider community can develop. Extensive research has shown that genuine partnership between home and school improves outcomes for children and young people.

As well as offering membership for parent groups and advice for individual parents, Connect also offers membership, advice and training about family engagement for school leaders and educators to support their professional learning through the Connect Family Engagement Academy.

Membership of Connect for parent groups includes a wide range of benefits for individual parents and parent groups, including live online information sessions, leaflets and resources, membership-linked insurance, access to the Members’ only area of Connect’s website and closed Facebook Group support and advice through social media channels and by email, plus regular news updates.
