CLD Standards Council Scotland

The CLD Standards Council Scotland is the professional body for people who work or volunteer in community learning and development in Scotland.

Core responsibilities include:

  • delivering a professional approvals structure for qualifications, courses and development opportunities

  • maintaining a registration system available to practitioners

  • establishing a model of supported induction, continuing professional development (CPD) and training opportunities

CLD Standards Council is a member led organisation. Core responsibilities are defined by member committees based on feedback from the wider membership. The CLD standards council team support this approach to deliver objectives.

CLD Standards Council offers a range of professional learning resources and opportunities.

i-develop learning for CLD logo

I-develop is the national web-based professional learning service supporting learning and development for CLD practitioners, based on the values, principles, skills and competences shared by CLD practitioners and employers.

I-develop integrates the theory and practice that shape professional learning for the CLD sector, including peer support, communities of practice, learning journeys and reflection-in-action.
