Early Career Teacher Experience (Primary Numeracy & Mathematics)
This programme is a self-directed learning experience intended to support practitioners who are in the first few years of their teaching career and would like to deepen their understanding and confidence in relation to learning and teaching in numeracy and mathematics. It can also be used by more experienced practitioners, either as an individual refresher, or as part of a wider school improvement approach.
This programme is aimed at primary practitioners who are in their first few years of teaching, however, it can also be used by more experienced practitioners.

There is a wide range of content in these modules including:
- Number & Number Processes
- Fractions, Decimal Fractions & Percentages
- Teaching Time
- Ideas of Chance & Uncertainty
- Data & Analysis
- Money
- Taking Maths Outdoors
- Effective Questioning Approaches
There is no requirement to access every module, just the ones which are relevant to each practitioner’s own development requirements.
Each module contains a series of short videos which can be accessed at a time suitable to the individual practitioner.
Each module is followed up with a series of reflective questions and short tasks alongside some optional follow up learning.
