Leading from the Middle
It's impossible to be agile enough for the current climate without quality leaders throughout the system. Leading from the Middle is a live, intensive online programme that builds personal, team and organisational strength, quickly.
The course runs over three week-long Sprints, spread across a term. Aligned to the national model of professional learning participants develop their thinking, knowledge, skills and understanding while deeply developing their skills of enquiry and criticality. Working online in teams of diverse, global participants the course ensures interactivity, reflection and self and peer-evaluation with an emphasis on collaborative learning both with and from your fellow participants.
'Leading from the Middle' for aspiring leaders offers a strong set of practical skills and experience that will serve participants well in their practice, their professional and personal development and for any future job applications, reinforcing professional values and commitment and participants actually create a change project in real time in their school.
The course offers existing middle and senior leaders a chance to review their practices and how they work, both individually and in a team, school or community recognising the importance of collegiality and the belief that all teachers should have opportunities to be leaders, for their learners as well as themselves, their colleagues and partners.
We offer an international perspective on middle leadership that goes far beyond the confines of the system you’re in, helping participants understand effective whole-school and global community commitment, as part of Learning for Sustainability.
Each live session will add value to the leadership development of aspiring middle leaders. And it’s ideal for further growth of senior leaders in headship, directors of teaching and learning, advancement specialists and technology leaders.
