Middle Leadership
The Middle Leadership programme is designed to support colleagues in developing their understanding of their role as middle leaders. The course is built around one core text, Leadership Matters 3.0 by Andy Buck, and includes other professional literature to help support their full understanding and development within the role. It is based on self-evaluation against the Professional Standard of Middle Leadership (2021) and a 360 evaluation, which offer the basis on which to build a Professional Learning Development Plan to help them grow and learn as middle leaders as they engage in the programme.
The Middle Leadership Programme is intended for middle leaders in all sectors - PTs/PTCs, DHTs. It is designed to support colleagues in developing their understanding of their role as middle leaders through identification of areas of strength and next steps in terms of their leadership development.
This programme is recently re-accredited with Professional Recognition in Middle Leadership by GTCS.
The programme spans 12 months, starting in August each academic year with the final submission being completed by November of the following year. This is to allow participants the full opportunity to self-evaluate, identify strengths and areas for development, to create a Professional Learning Development Plan, and to engage in activities and reflections that will support their individual professional learning journeys.
