Session 1

The Syrian Resettlement Dads Group is a discrete group formed to specifically target Syrian dads in Edinburgh with the objective of engaging them in their child's, and their own, education. This group is now part of City of Edinburgh Council Resettlement Programme (formerly Syrian Resettlement Programme).

The Read Write Count (RWC) Equality and Equity Dads Group aims to identify and address barriers to participation and increase engagement in their child’s and their own learning.

Session 2

In this creative conversation, Fathers Network Scotland focus on why engaging dads in their children’s learning is a good thing, barriers to engagement and provide a case study.

The Scottish Book Trust offer inspiration and practical ideas as well as insights from evaluations on learning under lockdown.
