Food education - The Good Food Learning Resource
The Good Food Learning Resource, created by the Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET) in association with Quality Meat Scotland, provides information and practical activities to improve learning and teaching around food production and sustainability. It can be used for interdisciplinary learning, focusing on health and wellbeing, science, social studies and technologies, and will support improvement in the following areas:
- comprehension and interpretation
- extending knowledge and understanding
- investigations and practical activities
- evaluating the role of agriculture in the production of food and raw material

How to use this resource to improve practice
The resources can be used for planning learning and teaching opportunities. For example:
- the Good Food Learning Resource can be used as a monthly prompt for learning
- fact cards provide further information to take forward areas for discussion either independently or collaboratively
- the map provides a stimulus for discussion
