Stirling Community Learning and Development (CLD) - Stirling Council
The Stirling Community Learning and Development (CLD) team provide wellbeing support to children and young people experiencing difficulties with transitions from home to school, associated with emotionally based school avoidance. This is delivered through dedicated group work and 1:1 support. It is facilitated by the youth participation team in partnership with schools across Stirling Council.
The Stirling wellbeing model is targeted at primary aged children and young people to address issues of non-attendance at the earliest opportunity. The project is funded through the Scottish Government’s Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund which is administered through the Educational Psychology service until June 2025. The Stirling CLD team plan to incorporate the service into their core youth work offer beyond this date where viable.
