As an Executive Agency, accountable to the Scottish Government and parliament, Education Scotland will provide advice to the Scottish Government on a wide range of education matters; either to provide updates on our on-going work and engagement with establishments in Scotland, or to provide specific advice on request or as Education Scotland considers necessary.

Education Scotland also has a role in supporting government policy such as 'A National Response to Improving Mathematics in Scotland' and 'Free Bikes for School'.

Education Scotland’s uses its own expertise and insights informed by continued working with practitioners to inform relevant and robust advice and support.
