HM Inspectors are aware that the current programme of industrial action by teaching unions will have an impact on schools and settings. Planned inspection activity will continue throughout this period, taking account of local circumstances. Where planned strike action takes place, adjustments to our arrangements for inspection will be made. This may include changes to the timing of planned activity or team size. HM Inspectors will not undertake on-site inspection activity in schools and settings involving staff or learners during strike days. Where appropriate, inspection activity may be undertaken online including meetings with parents and partners.
