Programmes
Education Scotland supports several key programmes including Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) and Learning for Sustainability (LfS).
We are also working in partnership with Scottish Government to take forward the refreshed Scottish Attainment Challenge (SAC) and improve approaches to tackle the poverty related attainment gap.
Learning for Sustainability
Learning for Sustainability is an entitlement for all learners in Scotland. Key policies include Vision 2030+ and its Learning for Sustainability Action Plan; information and resources give background and show how this can be achieved.
Developing the Young Workforce (DYW)
Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) is a seven-year programme that aims to prepare children and young people aged 3–18 for the world of work.
Scottish Attainment Challenge
The Scottish Attainment Challenge aims to raise the attainment of children and young people living in deprived areas, in order to close the equity gap.
Support for all
All Scotland's children and young people are entitled to support to enable them to gain as much as possible from the opportunities that Curriculum for Excellence provides. Some children may need additional support.
