This booklet by Respect Me, Scotland's anti-bullying service, introduces adults to bullying behaviour including what bullying behaviour is and some of the other behaviours often confused with bullying.

It looks at bullying that takes place online and face to face, and provides adults with practical steps to address it. It also looks at prejudice-based bullying, helping young people to cope with how they’re feeling, and the wider issues of positive role modelling and staying safe online.

Improvement questions

  • What should I do if my child is being bullied?
  • How should I respond if I find out that my child is involved in bullying behaviour?
  • How do I deal with bullying that takes place online?
  • How can I keep my child safe online?
