What was done?

Focus schools in Inverclyde developed a partnership with Barnardo’s to design and implement bespoke family learning opportunities, reflective of local context.

Why was it done?

As a result of being selected as a Challenge Authority, Inverclyde identified this as an area for improvement, supported by Attainment Fund Scotland.

What was the impact?

Barnardo’s is a strategic partner in Inverclyde, with a shared commitment to improving outcomes for the most vulnerable children and families. They provide holistic and flexible support, based on an integrated assessment of need, to those who need it most, and have a  focus on helping children to remain in school to become successful learners. This work has seen increased numbers of families engaging and confidently supporting their children’s learning.
