Live narrative project
Headteachers expressed a wish to be able to ‘follow the story’ of individual schools and their engagement with the Scottish Attainment Challenge.
The live narrative project follows schools throughout a period of Pupil Equity Funding. The developing story of how each school works to close the poverty-related attainment gap and raise attainment is described. There will be opportunities for others to engage with the schools in relation to their own Scottish Attainment Challenge interventions.
The live narrative approach has three principles:
-
Communication: regular communications about live narrative schools
-
Collaboration: opportunities for practitioners and school leaders to interact with live narrative schools
-
Review: exemplars will provide updates on the school’s engagement with the Scottish Attainment Challenge
Exemplars from schools can be used to support professional dialogue within and between establishments around their own Scottish Attainment Challenge interventions.
