Wednesday 20th May is National Numeracy Day. There's a fantastic range of free resources and activities for all the family, with this year’s theme being 'Count on Your Community'. 

National Numeracy Day is the UK’s only day dedicated to everyday maths. It celebrates the importance of numbers for adults and children and inspires everyone to improve their numeracy in order to open up opportunities and brighter futures. 

Highlights of this year’s campaign include:

• Rotimi Merriman-Johnson and Times Tables Rock Stars’ live lesson (Smart Spending, Nationwide game of ‘Would You Rather’) – this will be available to watch at 9.30am on National Numeracy Day. There will also be a range of supporting resources from Numbots and Times Tables Rock Stars for KS1 and KS2
• Lesson starter videos and lesson plans with Bobby Seagull and Susan Okereke (these will be centred around creating a school disco)
• Numberblocks karaoke song and supporting resources for younger children
• the Number Heroes drawing competition, which has fantastic prizes for the winners and their schools
