Equalities in Education
Equalities include the protected characteristics in the Equality Act 2010 and other factors, such as socioeconomic barriers and care experience.
An intersectional approach means understanding that marginalisation and inequality are often caused by several overlapping factors, not just one.
This means that when you take action in one area of equalities, you may also support progress in others.
