Study options: full or part-time

You can choose to study either part-time or full-time. Part-time courses are normally studied over three to five calendar years. Full-time courses are normally studied over one academic year (September to June).

Course structure 

This diagram shows the course structure for a part-time Masters degree, and when credits are accrued. This shows the shortest structure for completing your Masters - you can choose to take longer by completing your modules more slowly, or taking a break from studying.

Prior learning

Any Masters level qualifications acquired in the previous five years can be considered for prior credit on a number of Strathclyde courses, up to 120 credits. Individual course leaders will be able to advise you if your prior learning is eligible.

If you completed your PGDE at Strathclyde with Masters credits, these can be brought forward in the same way.
