We are delighted to announce that recruitment for the next cohorts of the Teacher Leadership Programme, Into Headship, In Headship and Towards Headship is now open and will remain open until the end of March 2020.

• The Teacher Leadership Programme is open to all post-probation teachers looking to explore an enquiring approach to developing an aspect of learning and teaching for the learners in their context.
• The Into Headship programme is for GTCS-registered teachers aspiring to the post of headteacher within the next 2-3 years. On successful completion of the programme, participants are awarded with the GTCS Standard for Headship. The Standard for Headship will become a mandatory requirement for all newly appointed substantive headteachers from August 2020.
• The In Headship programme is for headteachers within their first two years of headship and for those in an acting headteacher post that is expected to last for longer than the duration of the programme.
• The Towards Headship programme is for aspiring headteachers who already hold the GTCS Standard for Headship and wish to continue their professional learning towards the post of headteacher.
