The document below provides a more detailed summary of responses from schools who have demonstrated positive impact related to improving attendance. All schools selected had evidence of universal and targeted strategies which were improving attendance for learners in their schools.
Schools were identified through intelligence at local authority level, in partnership with the link attainment advisor. Rationale for identification included at least one of the following criteria: improvement over time, school attendance rates above local and/or national averages or demonstrating improvement of attendance in areas of high deprivation.
