How to use this self-evaluation approach to improve practice?
Teams can map strengths, opportunities, areas for development and networks using the tool. This in turn can be used to facilitate reflection on the challenges and opportunities available. The maps will raise questions and suggest new ways of looking at the national and regional pictures. Effective and more creative planning can then be undertaken as a result of these discussions.
The mapping tool allows the sometimes complex and differing geographical regions to be synthesised and explored visually, allowing educators at all levels to make greater sense and better decisions.
