When a council proposes a change to its school estate, HM Inspectors consider the proposal and write a report on it. A council must then prepare its final consultation report. When a council publishes its final consultation report, it must include the report from HM Inspectors.

Education Scotland publishes HM Inspectors’ reports on proposals on the same day that councils publish their final consultation reports. You can access reports that have been prepared by HM Inspectors for councils here.
