Workshops

Workshops were co-designed with educators from across Scotland. They include PowerPoint templates that presenters can adapt to suit their own context and style of presenting. Workshops can be delivered individually or grouped together and delivered in a longer session.

Individual workshops should take 1 to 2 hours. Suggested timings for each workshop can be found on the content coverage slide.

Slide notes contain core messages, suggested tasks, talking-points and reflective questions.

Prior learning

It is presumed presenters will have read the effective use of data for improvement in education literature review.

There are six workshops available for middle and senior leaders. They can support leaders in schools and local authorities to develop their own workshops.

  1. Establishing the purpose and use of data
  2. Defining and classifying data
  3. Creating effective processes and systems
  4. Interpreting and analysing data
  5. Developing a data informed culture
  6. Using data for improvement
